Responsibilities:
- Identify NCLB provisions in current law and regulation that are problematic in terms of implementation, and propose improvements.
- Propose recommendations related to the reauthorization of NCLB.
- Serve as a major source of input to NASSP from the field.
- Stay abreast of national trends and issues facing principals, especially related to NCLB.
- Serve as a working group producing “products” that promote improvement of NCLB policy, and best practices related to NCLB implementation.
- Provide recommendations and article submissions to NASSP for future publications.
- Represent NASSP at various meetings, and before the press and other public audiences, where appropriate.
- Identify research questions that inform the profession.
- Communicate the work of the Association to present and potential members.
