Professional Development
Every school leader must share the responsibility for his or her own professional development, and NASSP is here to help, with a variety of offerings—both online and in-person.
Meeting Your Needs
NASSP offers professional development that gives busy school leaders the timely, helpful information they need to be their best. Join us this year as we focus on:
- Preparing for the Common Core State Standards;
- Using iPads and technology to work smarter;
- Improving schools using the Breaking Ranks Framework;
- Assessing and developing leadership skills.
Online, On the Go
During the school year, NASSP offers free, bi-weekly webinars focused on a wide range of professional development and school improvement topics. Videos in the webinar archive are available to NASSP members only, but live webinar broadcasts are open to all educators, so invite your whole staff!
Personal, Face-to-Face PD
One of the core tenets of the Breaking Ranks Framework is personalization. To this end, NASSP hosts live seminars at its headquarters in Reston, Virginia, led by NASSP thought leaders and education experts. Held throughout the school year and summer, these seminars offer participants real-time interaction with top-notch presenters in a focused and collaborative environment, away from the distractions and demands of daily life at school.
Customized PD, Fit for You
NASSP also provides customized professional development training that can be delivered in your school, district, or at NASSP headquarters. Skilled NASSP staff and certified training consultants are ready to lead focused, tailor-made sessions on the topics that matter most to you, your school and your staff.
