Awards and Recognition
As part of its vision to promote excellence in middle and high school leadership, NASSP, with financial support from a number of partners, annually recognizes principals, assistant principals, schools, students, and advisers from across the country for their leadership and for making positive, significant differences in our schools and communities.
There are three categories that delineate the awards and recognition programs NASSP offers:
- Student Awards: NASSP is proud to offer an array of programs that provide recognition for students' accomplishments. These awards are geared toward students who display the qualities and characteristics we hope to instill in all our students.
- Student Activity Awards: NASSP offers a variety of opportunities to recognize the efforts of student activities chapters completing outstanding service projects. These awards highlight not only the students but those who advise them as well.
- Principal, Assistant Principal, and Educator Awards: NASSP offers awards and programs designed to emphasize the achievements of those actively involved in improving schools' and students' performance at all levels. The recipients of these awards range from principals to individual schools. For more information please view the programs and awards listed below.
|NASSP National Advisory List of Student Contests and Activities
The NASSP National Advisory List of Student Contests and Activities provides information to assist principals, teachers, parents, and students in making decisions regarding participation in a wide variety of program opportunities. NASSP reviews submitted programs and places those programs that have met the established criteria on the National Advisory List.
