NASSP/Herff Jones Principal's Leadership Award

After more than two decades of providing scholarship assistance to graduating students in the Principal’s Leadership Award (PLA) program, Herff Jones has shared their intention with NASSP to realign its scholarship investment in order to support more of its customers across various divisions while broadening its focus to involve additional educators along with senior school administrators. As a result, the PLA program will conclude effective June 30, 2012.

On behalf of the thousands of students who have received more than $3.5 million in scholarships over the years, NASSP extends enormous thanks to Herff Jones for its generosity and visible commitment to student success. NASSP continues to value its longstanding partnership with Herff Jones and the company’s sponsorship of conference programming which continues today.

In addition to the 100 state winners, eight nominees advanced to receive national awards in the four categories listed below. Herff Jones will present plaques to each of the top eight winners at their respective high schools.

Congratulations to Amy Chyao from Plano East Senior High School, Plano, TX, on being selected as the national winner of the NASSP/Herff Jones Principal's Leadership Award. As the national winner, Amy receives a $12,000 college scholarship.
