• Reach Higher: The Near-Peer Mentoring Challenge

    NASSP invites school leaders to participate in First Lady Michelle Obama's Reach Higher initiatives, including the Near-Peer Mentoring College Challenge, which helps connect high school students with college mentors who can give guidance about higher education. If you know a college that offers this type of opportunity to high school students, invite them to take the challenge. The deadline for submission is February 27, 2015.

  • Top Youth Volunteers Selected from Across the Country

    The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, a nationwide program honoring students in grades 5-12 for outstanding volunteer service, has selected 102 State Honorees to receive $1,000, an engraved silver medallion, and an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C.
