Written specifically to guide middle level student leaders through the RSVP process; includes resources and step-by-step instructions.
Raising Student Voice & Participation provides student councils with a structured process for working with student bodies to identify issues, then plan and host activities to bring about positive changes. The RSVP School Implementation Guide includes resources, strategies, and step-by-step instructions to guide student leaders through the process.
What It Is
Imagine for a moment students being trusted to take the lead in resolving school and communities issues that impact them. RSVP is school-wide student engagement program developed by NASC that gives students a chance to speak out and take positive action steps.
How It Works
School-wide summits that are led by students lie at the heart of RSVP. The three summits systematically move the students from identifying key concerns and proposing solutions, to implementing action plans that work to address the top issues. RSVP provides a structure and a systemic approach for giving students a meaningful voice, expanding opportunities for students to have leadership roles, and increasing student-led volunteer service efforts to improve schools and communities.
