Reston, VA—Ysmeli Rosa, National Honor Society (NHS) adviser at Gregorio Luperon High School for Science and Mathematics in New York, NY, has just been named the 2021 NHS Rynearson Adviser of the Year by the National Honor Society. This award is supported by NHS’s parent organization, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

“NHS advisers play integral roles in supporting high school students’ academic success, and Ms. Rosa is a perfect example of the important work advisers carry out,” said NASSP CEO Ronn Nozoe. “She goes above and beyond to help her students and community, and she is fully deserving of this honor.”

Ysmeli Rosa has served as Gregorio Luperon High’s NHS adviser for the past three years, and has cemented herself as a valuable member of the school community and a respected leader among both students and staff. Rosa is described as irreplaceable, passionate, and a tireless advocate for her students. 

The Edward Rynearson Adviser of the Year Award was established to recognize outstanding Honor Society advisers for their leadership and commitment to the purposes of NHS.
