Reston, VA—Ross Ann Hill, National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) adviser and teacher at Idalou Middle School in Idalou, TX, has just been named the 2021 NJHS Rynearson Adviser of the Year by the National Junior Honor Society. This award is supported by NJHS’s parent organization, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

“As an NJHS adviser, Hill has shown her commitment to her students and the values of NJHS by creating a culture of service and leadership in her chapter,” said NASSP CEO Ronn Nozoe. “We are proud to honor Ross Ann Hill with this award to recognize the experience, wisdom, and commitment she brings to her work with the National Junior Honor Society.”

Ross Ann Hill has spent the past 20 years as an educator and NJHS adviser—and was recently recognized as the 2020 Distinguished Educator of Lubbock County, TX. Her colleagues, principal, and students describe her as a compassionate teacher and a true servant leader.

The Edward Rynearson Adviser of the Year Award was established to recognize outstanding Honor Society advisers for their leadership and commitment to the purposes of NJHS.
