RESTON, VA—On behalf of the nation’s middle level and high school principals, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) issued the following statement on the Biden administration’s American Jobs Plan, which calls for historic investments in education infrastructure and workforce:

“We applaud the Biden administration’s plan for greatly needed federal investment in school facilities, infrastructure, and workforce,” said NASSP CEO Ronn Nozoe. “We cannot advance as a nation without our education infrastructure. Ensuring safe, healthy, and modern public school facilities that can support innovative teaching and personalization is a crucial component to closing the opportunity gap, increasing academic achievement and graduation rates, and ensuring all students have access to effective teachers and school leaders.”
