The National Education Leadership Awards (NELA) is the premier event honoring excellence in school leadership.

More than an awards ceremony, NELA is an inspiring gathering of principals and assistant principals united by a shared purpose to make a lasting difference in education.

National Recognition and Celebration
Honorees are recognized on a national stage, with opportunities to hear from peers, distinguished speakers, and organizational leaders.

New in 2027, registered attendees of the National Principals Conference will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to attend the gala and celebrate alongside these outstanding school leaders.

The experience culminates in an awards ceremony where each Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year is honored on stage and presented with a commemorative award. The evening also features the announcement of the National Advocacy Champion of the Year.
